ABSTRACT
I have decided to make an essay about Joseph Conrad. I want to focus this one on his way of description, I want to say the use of descriptive resource in his novels.
Mainly, it calls my attention his wide deep descriptions which make me think about something which could be painted on a picture. From this point of view I will try to find connectors with a painter who I tend to think that he was as descriptive on his works of art as Conrad on his novels. This painter is Gauguin who describes on his paintings Tahiti and the uncontrolled strenght of the Nature.
In the "Heart of Darkness" the author showed us his worry about the Congo’s colonization in the same way Gauguin showed us his love for Tahiti and he tried to Transmit its wildness.
I will try to analize and compare the world of narrative and its connections with the world of painting.
